Twenty Hikes In 2020!

Most of us begin the year by setting new goals and New Year's resolutions. The promises we make to ourselves at the beginning of the year are not always easy to maintain. Perhaps a wise idea would be to set a smaller goals that are easily achieved to last the whole year.

We are beginning a group challenge here at EK&A and the goal is to complete 20 hikes this year. They can be any of your choice; short distance or difficult endurance hikes- whatever suits your mood. The goal is to get outside and explore the beauty of Santa Barbara! For inspiration, here is a list of 20 various hiking trails in the area that we are excited about. #1. Inspiration Point is a 3.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

#2. Rattlesnake Canyon is a 4.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

#4. Jesusita Trail is a 6.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October.

#5. Tangerine Falls Trail is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November.

#6. Romero Canyon Trail is a 5.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

#7. San Ysidro Trail is a 8.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

#8. Knapp's Castle Trail is a 0.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a great forest setting.

#9. Hot Springs Canyon Trail is a 3.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features hot springs and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.

#10. Montecito Peak Trail is a 6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and trail running and is accessible year-round.

#11. Los Padres Tunnel Trail is a 7.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, horses, and mountain biking and is best used from September until June.

#12. Mc Menemy Trail is a 3.6 mile loop trail located near Santa Barbara, California that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
