Katie Mohun is a licensed Realtor and Attorney who loves living in Santa Barbara and calling this beautiful community her home. Prior to joining EK&A, Katie was involved with over $70,000,000 in residential sales in Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara, Goleta, and the Santa Ynez Valley, and this wide range of experience has given Katie a depth of knowledge only found with years in the business. Since joining EK&A, Katie has only continued her high level of success.

Graduate of the University of Oregon

Katie is a proud graduate of the University of Oregon where she double majored in Journalism and Spanish. After college, she began her career by working at Guild Mortgage in her hometown of Truckee, California. During her time with the company, she learned a wealth of information about residential financing and the mortgage industry as a whole, while working on the front-end of transactions to get clients pre-approved for loans. After years of living in the mountains, she decided to move to the beach and pursue her true passion of becoming a licensed Real Estate Agent with Village Properties in Santa Barbara.

 

Legal Education & Background

While working as an agent, Katie earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Santa Barbara College of Law, passed the California Bar Exam on her first attempt, and is currently a licensed Attorney and member of the California State Bar. Her legal education has expanded her depth of knowledge about the legal and contractual complexities of buying and selling Real Estate and has made her a highly sought after agent and advisor.

Katie is passionate about building long-term relationships with her clients and making the buying and selling process as seamless as possible. She recognizes the gravity of making an investment in real property and how it is one of the biggest decisions a person can make in their lifetime. On a Personal Note...

When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, staying active by playing volleyball at the beach, taking hot yoga classes, running, and going on ski trips, along with listening to live music and trying out new restaurants!
